Install Vecinar on your phone

No need for the App Store or Google Play: Vecinar installs from the browser in under a minute, takes up very little space and opens like any other app, with its own icon and notifications.

It is the same app, not a cut-down version

iPhone and iPad

  1. Step 1

    Open Vecinar in Safari

    Go to vecinarapp.com/app in Safari. Other iPhone browsers work too, but Safari is the most reliable.

  2. Step 2

    Tap the Share button

    It is the square with an arrow pointing up, in the bottom bar (or at the top right on iPad).

  3. Step 3

    Add to Home Screen

    Scroll down the menu and choose “Add to Home Screen”. Confirm with “Add”.

  4. Step 4

    Open the app from the icon

    Always open Vecinar from the new icon: that is the only way your iPhone will send you notifications.

Android

  1. Step 1

    Open Vecinar in Chrome

    Go to vecinarapp.com/app in Chrome.

  2. Step 2

    Open the browser menu

    Tap the three dots at the top right and choose “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”. If the “Add as app” button appears inside Vecinar, that works too.

  3. Step 3

    Confirm the installation

    Tap “Install”. Vecinar will appear with the rest of your apps and you can turn on notifications.

Why install it this way instead of from a store

  • It is exactly the same app

    Incidents, bookings, documents, votes and notifications: everything works just like an app from the store. There is no “lite” version and no missing features.

  • Always up to date, no updating

    There are no updates to download or forget: every time you open it you get the latest version, the same for every neighbour.

  • No stores, no accounts

    You do not need an Apple ID or a Google Play account, or to wait for a store to approve anything. One link and you are done.

  • Takes almost no space

    It weighs a fraction of a native app, so it does not fill up your phone or use your data to install.

  • One Vecinar for everyone

    It works the same on iPhone, Android and computer. If you change phones, just sign in again.

  • Remove it like any app

    Press and hold the icon and choose “Remove”. Your data stays with your community, not on your phone.
